What are Dental Implants?

In cases where you have lost a tooth, or may have to lose a tooth, an implant is a fantastic fixed option to replace it.

 

Through placing a dental implant into the bone after careful planning the implant takes time to integrate with the bone around it. Once this process has finished, we can place the crown on top.  

Dental implants can replace one tooth, multiple teeth or even be arranged to hold full dentures. 

With dental implants it is important that enough bone is present, therefore sometimes bone augmentation is required. In the case of implanting to replace the upper teeth the sinus can sometimes require lifting to make space for the implant. Both of these considerations will be assessed as part of your implant consultation.
